PLOY’s new single, SANDY DUNCAN was recently featured on New York’s East Village Radio show Body Control. Host Bruce Tantum, was joined by whatever whatever DJ, Brian Mette who closed his set out with the PLOY track. The Time Out NY clubs editor plays music that goes thump-thump-thump. Bruce and his guests—local players and international bigwigs alike—explore the wonderful worlds of disco, house, techno and all of their glorious offshoots.

Bruce Tantum has been active in Gotham’s clubbing scene since the late ‘70s, back when niteries such as Max’s Kansas City and Studio 54 still allowed prepubescent young lads thought their doors. By the early ‘80s, he and his no-wave minimalist-pop band Moot were regular fixtures at such hallowed halls as the Mudd Club, Danceteria and the Peppermint Lounge. But deejaying beckoned, and Bruce tossed out his bass guitar and picked up the Technics in the late ”80s, spinning a mix of oddball disco and early house in hotspots ranging from glam venues such as Limelight and Centro-Fly to dirty basement clubs and warehouse parties. And when that career failed to pay the rent, he became the Clubs editor of Time Out NY magazine, a post he’s held since 1999.
